The cichuagin are less belligerent and more adaptive than their saltwater cousins, better adapted to an opportunistic and omnivorous diet than their purely predatory kin. Still, for those who live close to the rivers and lakes they call home, they are still a source of fear and depredation, as they consider themselves superior to anything above the waters and lurk in their mud-and-stone villages in the dank, plotting.
