The otomou are the degenerate remnants of a once-great race from beneath the mountains. Deep in tunnels that shine and glow with autonite and torbenite and shimmer with pitchblende. Deeper still a greenish light glows bright enough to see and here around magical hot-springs and steaming rocks the otomou make their home.
Fierce, degenerate, territorial, they guard the ruins of their once great civilisation most fiercely, even though they no longer understand the intricacies of the gears, engines of steam and the fine artistry of their forebears. Still, the precious, glowing stone and the relics of this once mighty people, bring many adventurers to seek their fortune.
